Educational Farm Field Trips in the Tulsa Area
Available July through October | Weekdays Only
Looking for a hands-on school field trip near Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby, or Coweta?
The Flower Meadow offers weekday school group and homeschool farm visits that combine outdoor learning, fresh air, and real farm experiences.
Our flower farm provides a relaxed, nature-based setting where students can explore how flowers grow, learn about animals, and connect with agriculture in a meaningful way. These visits are ideal for homeschool groups, Girl Scout troops, and school field trips looking for something educational, memorable, and outdoors.
• Homeschool co-ops
• Elementary and middle school field trips
• Girl Scout and youth groups
• Nature-focused educational outings
School group visits are available Tuesday through Friday during our main growing season, July through October.
$15 per child
Each child receives:
• One U-Pick flower cup to collect fresh, seasonal blooms
• One bag of animal feed for supervised barnyard visits
Chaperones:
• One adult per six children
• Chaperones attend free
This structure allows groups to enjoy the farm while keeping the experience calm, safe, and organized.
School groups are welcome to build simple learning stations or discussion points during their visit. Many teachers and group leaders naturally connect the experience to topics such as:
• Seed-to-harvest growing stages
• Flower anatomy and plant life cycles
• Pollination and ecosystems
• Animal care and basic husbandry
• Agriculture and seasonal farming
These farm visits work well for science-based learning, nature studies, and experiential education without feeling overly structured or rushed.
• Plan for approximately 2 hours on the farm
• Time may include flower picking, animal visits, and a picnic
• The Flower Meadow is a working flower farm, not a free-range playground
• Children must remain with their chaperones at all times
This helps us maintain a safe environment for students, animals, and flowers.
School group visits are scheduled in advance and are not drop-in experiences.
